Level 1:
Dancers in our Level 1 are either new to dance or have just graduated from our Combo C Class. Students in Level 1 are eligible to take Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. In Level 1, dancers begin to learn proper technique in addition to continued work on musicality and terminology.
Typical Ages: 8-11
Classes Offered: Ballet, Tap, & Jazz
*Students in Level 1 must be enrolled in Ballet at Legacy in order to take Jazz
*Tap is highly encouraged
Class Attire:
Solid Colored Leotard, Pink Tights, Hair in a bun, NO Jewelry or Smart Watches
Shoes:
Pink Leather Ballet Slippers, Black Tap Shoes, Black Jazz Shoes
Level 2:
Level 2 is a continuation of basic technique, musicality, and terminology with additional rhythms and concepts added. (Students must complete Level 1 or be recommended by the Director). Students are able to begin studying Lyrical.
Typical Ages: 9-11
Classes Offered: Ballet, Lyrical*, Jazz, & Tap
*Students must be enrolled in Ballet at Legacy in order to take Lyrical

Solid Colored Leotard, Pink Tights, Hair in a bun, NO Jewelry or Smart Watches
Shoes:
Pink Leather Ballet Slippers, Black Tap Shoes, Black Jazz Shoes, Flesh Lyrical Shoes
Level 3:
In addition to working on established technique, dancers in Level 3 also incorporate physicality, stretch, and strength into their dance training. Students continue to learn how to count music and performance quality is emphasized.
Typical Ages: 10-12

*Students must be enrolled in Ballet at Legacy in order to take Lyrical
Class Attire:

*Black or Tan Jazz Shoes (Recital Jazz shoe color will be determined by costume)
Pre Intermediate 1:
Dancers in our Pre Intermediate 1 Level continue to enhance their technique, performance quality and musicality, in addition to learning about improvisation. Physicality, stretch, strength, and performance quality are all emphasized.

Intensive Study Program
Our Intensive Study Program is for students who have completed 5 or more years of Ballet training with clean technique and strong performance quality. Our Intensive Study Program consists of classes at the Intermediate Levels 1&2 and classes at the Advanced Level. Students participating in our Intensive Study Program are serious about their dance training and take at least 2 Ballet classes a week in addition to classes in other subjects (Tap, Jazz, & Lyrical). Intensive Study Students have an awareness of their own physicality, knowledge of their strengths and needs and utilize developed skills in stretch, stamina, and strength.
Typical Ages: 12+
*Students must be enrolled in Ballet at Legacy in order to take Lyrical
*Intensive Study students must be enrolled in at least 2 Ballet classes at LDA
*Pointe work is at the discretion of the Studio Director
